Meatloaf awful

Only reason it's not a five is just because of personal preferences on space. A tad exclusive. Otherwise, seasonal mixed drinks, seasonal sauces, attentive and well-informed staff with excellent cuts of meat make the drive out more than worth it! A must-see of Marshall, VA.

They don't ask you how you want the meat cooked; don't worry, this is a good thing, as this place turns your thinking of protein as a necessity in every meal into the delicacy of the day.

I might have gone on the wrong night but the tables were so closely placed that I bumped 3 people just sitting down. I could not hear the people at my own table! The menu was nice and very appealing. Not too expensive for all natural local and organic foods. I simply wish there was more room there!

Never again.

Worst experience ever. Appetizers were good, but they lost us after bringing one entree out and left the other 3 of us sitting there for 30 minutes. No one even came to check on us or let us know if the rest of the food was on the way. After having to get up and go to them, they told us "that's how it was rung in, but we will start it now. " No apology, no explanation of what happened, no concern they ruined an evening for two couples, no discount on the items we did receive, just a rude staff. We canceled the food and left. They even tried to make us wait and take our dinner in a to go box and charge us for it. Still can't believe what happened and how they handled it, or more accurately didn't handle it. The editor of a restaurant review site was with us, can't wait to read that review.

Spent $24 on a small Meatloaf wrapped in bacon. As it cooked, the bizarre smell shold have been warning enough, but seeing as we spent almost $30 and didn't have any thing else to eat for dinner, we attempted to eat it. Vile. The taste was horrible. There must have been more ingredients than what the label listed - the flavor was unidentifiable - like smoked melted plastic, and overly spiced gamey sausage. There were small bits that were hard and un-chewable - cartilage or something. We went hungry and didnt eat it.

Friendly, prompt service. Delicious organic food, and nice atmosphere.
