Lower your expectations and your experience may not be as bad as ours. We heard great things and should have read a few reviews before we came. For instance, I just read a review that raved about the bread-it was never offered to our table. I'll start at the beginning. My $14 Glenfiddich hardly covered the ice. Medium grade glass of wine was $16 (don't even ask about the "premium" wines) and the most amazing thing was a Golden Corral quality ribeye for $65! The presentation of the entrees were lacking and the complimentary taste of soup just didn't do the job of trying to upscale the experience. The creamed corn pudding was great, and the scallops very good, but not enough. No one in our group will ever come back. Do yourselves a favor and drive 5 miles to The Plains where you have two truly excellent restaurants in The Rail Stop and The Front Porch that don't skimp on drinks deliver great food and service, don't charge for bread, and aim to please.

The staff was both attentive, friendly, helpful, and warm and not intrusive. The environment was relaxing.

An excellent dining experience. The food was interesting and delicious. First, the sour dough bread from Red Truck Bakery was warm and moist. The gnocchi had a wonderful lobster mushroom sauce. My pork chop was charred, moist, and delicious.

VERY expensive. $65 for a ribeye that was not the best I’ve had for sure. Plus sides are extra. My steak looked small/thin and the sauce too thick compared to others posted. Off night for the kitchen?

Thank you for a wonderful evening.

I love visiting restaurants like this!!! Laid back, friendly atmosphere, all of the people I met were extremely helpful, welcoming & passionate about what they do, and every dish & cocktail I tried was incredible. Certainly worth the drive!

We went for brunch on Saturday as a family. We ordered biscuits and butternut squash soup to start. The biscuits were decent, but nothing to rave about. The butternut squash soup was divine and I would order it again. We ordered the buttermilk fried chicken biscuit, apple cider French toast, eggs benedict, and shrimp and grits with crispy potatoes and sausage for sides. Of those, the buttermilk fried chicken was the table favorite. French toast was a bit sweet for everyone and the bread didn't hold up. The sausage was delicious and serves as 3 small patties. The shrimp and grits were solid, but again, no wow factor. Overall, brunch was delicious and we'd all come back.
